Malcolm Lewis was born on July 19, 1969 in Pensacola, Florida to the parents of Bennie & Evelyn Lewis.  He graduated from College Park High School in 1987, joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged as Sergeant after four and a half years of service.  Upon leaving the Army, Malcolm enrolled at Georgia State University where he acquired a B.S. in Accounting.  In 2002, Malcolm received a Masters in Ministry of Arts and in 2007 a Masters in Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary.  Malcolm is married to Nedra who co-labors with him in the ministry.  They have three children Paige, Peyton, and Paul.

On August 12, 1990 Malcolm Lewis surrendered his life to God by committing his life to Jesus Christ.  From there he joined Salem Baptist Church where under the teachings of Pastor Jasper Williams he later served as an Ordained Deacon.  From there he went on to accept God’s Calling on his life to preach the gospel.  Shortly after accepting his calling, God directed him to move his membership to Mount Moriah Baptist Church where he was licensed to preach the gospel under the leadership of Pastor Michael D. Woods.  At Mount Moriah, he served as Discipleship Ministry Leader, as a volunteer Chaplain in the Prison Ministry, and was briefly the Director of the Young Adults Ministry.  In June 2001, Malcolm moved his membership to the Discipleship Ministries of Gwinnett to assist Pastor Jerry Alladin in the capacity of Assistant Pastor.

In the beginning of 2001 God gave Pastor Malcolm Lewis a vision to go out and plant a ministry which would focus on the homeless, youth, and marriages.  This vision was gave birth in August 2002 to Beacon of Light Christian Church.  Through the leading of the Holy Spirit Pastor Lewis was graced with Apostle Skip Horton of Daystar Tabernacle International as his Spiritual Father.  Pastor Malcolm Lewis is currently focused on being a humble vessel of God with an urgent mission to help build up the kingdom of God in the city of Austell and surrounding communities.

On August 12, 1973, Nedra Louise was born to the late Ned Carl and Dorothy Latson in Fort Worth, Texas.  Since age of 1, she and her two sisters were reared by her mother and step-father, Sanford Ray Crayton, in a loving home.  Nedra attended public schools within the Fort Worth.  She received Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at the age of 17.  Being led by the Lord, in 1991 she journeyed from Fort Worth, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Clark Atlanta University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting in 1995.

Three days after arriving in Atlanta, she met her soul mate, Malcolm Dee Lewis.  They were joined in holy matrimony on July 15, 1995.  The Lord has blessed this union with three wonderful and beautiful children – Paige, Peyton, and Paul.

Nedra has a great desire to just be a servant for the Lord.  She is a wife that loves her husband and humbly submits to his leadership.  After serving as a Deaconess at Salem Bible Church for many years, Nedra went on to co-labor with her husband at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and Discipleship Ministries.  When her husband accepted the call to preach the gospel in 1999; Nedra continued to follow.

In 2002, Pastor Lewis followed the Lord’s calling and stepped out on faith and started a ministry.  The Beacon of Light Christian Church was manifested in the physical realm in August 2002.

Today, First Lady Lewis continues to serve the Lord completely.  First Lady received her Master of Arts in Ministry/Counseling from Luther Rice University in 2005.  Because of her love and deep desire for all to have life and life more abundantly the Lord has called her to counsel individuals and families.  She is a dynamic speaker and teacher who rightly divide the Word of God.  She truly exhorts the name of the Lord and through the light of her life she compels men and women to want to know Jesus Christ.
